Grading
Grading is the subjective half of color work: developing a look with the director and cinematographer, using color to support story and mood, and mastering to final deliverables. It’s taste plus pipeline mastery, and it only works on a corrected image underneath. The teal-and-orange thriller feel or the warm nostalgic wash is grading; making the picture merely correct first is correction.
