Histogram

The histogram counts how many pixels sit at each brightness — black on the left, white on the right — with no left-to-right frame position, just the distribution. A shot bunched hard against the left is under-exposed and muddy; bunched right is over-exposed. It’s a fast sanity check on overall exposure that complements the waveform.
