Video vs full levels
Video levels (limited range) map black and white to a restricted band of code values; full levels map them to the entire range. If an export’s level setting disagrees with how the destination reads the file, the result looks washed-out (blacks lifted to grey) or crushed. For standard Rec.709 delivery, leave data levels on Auto or set Video — then verify the played-back file matches the Resolve viewer.
