S-Log3

S-Log3 is Sony’s log transfer function — a flat, shadow-lifted curve that preserves a wide brightness range for grading. It is normally paired with the S-Gamut3.Cine gamut, and that pair — “S-Log3 / S-Gamut3.Cine” — is what you enter as the input of a Color Space Transform or as a clip’s input color space to normalize Sony footage correctly.
