T-CAM

T-CAM (Truelight Colour Appearance Model) is FilmLight’s colour appearance model and display rendering transform — Baselight’s equivalent of the DRT you meet in Resolve as an output transform. It does the same job: take a scene-referred image and render it, with tone mapping and gamut mapping, into what a display can show, with attention to shadow detail, noise, saturation and hue stability. T-CAM V2 is the reworked version FilmLight discusses in its Colour Online talks. You don’t need to operate Baselight to be literate in it — you need to know that T-CAM is the render, so that everything you learned about scene-referred pipelines and DRTs transfers when you walk into a Baselight facility.
