Look
A look is a macro-level creative transform — the same aesthetic character imparted to every shot in a project, sitting on top of a balanced, color-managed base. It is distinct from the shot-by-shot work of correction and balancing: a look does not change from shot to shot, and a well-built one never pushes middle exposure up or down, so it travels cleanly across an entire timeline. Think of it as the creative context your grading then happens inside, rather than something you build by hand on each frame.
