DCI-P3

DCI-P3 (often just P3) is a gamut noticeably wider than Rec.709, especially in reds and greens. It’s the digital-cinema projection standard and is now common in high-end phone and laptop screens (Apple’s displays are P3). In grading you meet it as a delivery target — a P3-limited master for cinema, or a P3-based HDR spec. Its extra reach is why a P3 screen can show saturated colors a Rec.709 panel simply cannot.
