Tracker

The tracker analyzes the motion in a shot so that a power window stays locked to a moving subject instead of sitting still while the action drifts out of it. With a window in place, you click analyze forward (Resolve 17 and later also track forward-and-backward from the middle of a clip) and the window follows the subject frame by frame. When motion is too complex for the tracker to hold — a subject that turns, occludes, or leaves frame — you fall back on the keyframe to reposition the window by hand. Magic Mask is a newer, AI-driven alternative that recognizes and tracks people and features automatically.
